About
What it does
Adaptive Kernel Smoother plots a kernel moving average on the chart and colors it by state. Bandwidth can stay fixed or scale with ATR so the smoother widens when the market is noisy and tightens when it is quiet. Residual sigma bands sit around the kernel line. A ratcheting trail, band fill, and buy/sell arrows are optional. A compact dashboard shows signal, kernel MA, trail, bands, sigma width, and the live adaptive bandwidth. Calculations use closed-bar history. The line does not repaint confirmed bars. It never sends orders.
How to use it
Attach it to any symbol and timeframe. Leave Adaptive Bandwidth on unless you want a fixed h. Pick a visual mode: Bands (kernel + sigma envelope), Single Line, or Trail. Use the dashboard to read state; use arrows only as a visual of a confirmed flip, not as a standalone system. Alerts can fire on bullish breakout or bearish breakdown (popup, sound, optional push).
Inputs
Kernel: InpLength (lookback, default 30), InpBandwidth (base h, default 8), InpAdaptive (ATR-scaled h, default true), InpAtrLen (default 14), InpSmooth (output smoothing, default 3). Bands: InpBandMult (sigma multiplier, default 1), InpBandLen (default 24), InpBandSmooth (default 5). Visuals: InpVisualMode (Bands / Single Line / Trail), InpTheme (Classic, Cyber Aqua, Crimson Pulse, Royal Purple, Emerald Night, Minimal Mono, Classic Emerald), InpShowFill, InpShowTable, arrow codes, label offset. Alerts: bullish breakout, bearish breakdown, popup, push, sound.
Recommended context
Works on FX, metals, and crypto. Most readable on M15–H4. Themes and fill are cosmetic. The indicator does not trade, so no fill policy or stop-level assumptions apply.
What it does not do
It does not place orders, grid, martingale, or average in. It does not use DLL, WebRequest, or network access. It does not forecast. Confirmed kernel values on closed bars do not repaint.
